Can I take action shots with the camera Canon EOS Rebel K2?

A shutter speed above 1/500 will get you action shots that stop action. 1/1000. is better and 1/2000 will give you photos on an autowinder or continuous shooting that will look like Time Lapse photography. A lot of what you need to ask is what effect are you looking for in the picture. Less than 1/500 is like to make a baseball a white blur. The Canon Rebel line will give you should give you an adequate range to do what you want to do. Your camera may already be programmed for sports/action which will do the thing you are asking for.
