No, shooting video uses a single shutter actuation, it lifts the mirror up and leaves it there for the whole of the length of the video clip – so shooting a video clip puts the same strain on the shutter as shooting a single still picture – and these cameras are rated at hundreds of thousands shutter actuations.

Plus, the sensor is absolutely fine, the camera is designed to shoot video in LiveView – no problems at all.
