How to use a canon rebel eos digital camera? Aperture?

Monday Sep 28, 2009

got it from a family member without the manual. please help thanks

You can download the Manual for your camera at:
http://www.usa.canon.com/home

You can also check at http://www.dbusch.com and see if David Busch has written a Guide for your camera. His Guides are usually easier to understand – but you still need the original Owner’s Manual for your camera.

That’s a newer brand, you should be able to find an online manual. A lot of camera brands now-a-days have online manuals. Especially Canon. =)

It would help to know which EOS you have. I have a Rebel XS and the aperture function is really simple.

If it’s an SLR, which assuming it is, there’s a wheel on top with various icons on it. Turning it to the left you’ll first go to the program mode.
Then the AV which is your aperture. You’ll see menu settings that allow you to raise or lower it buy using s spin wheel at the front, right on the camera top.

If you don’t have these controls it’s probably a point and shoot and I don’t think I can help.

However, to do more research go here, find your camera.
