The biggest problem ive had with cameras in the past is after 10 shots the batteries are dead (AA Bats) I know Li-ion batteries last longer but how long could you expect the batteries for this camera to last you?

i have this camera … i have this camera and the battery works fine. lasts a long awhile and it has never ran out of battery when fully charged (atleast on me)

it takes about 1800 … it takes about 1800 pics in various shooting mods for batery to run out, without using the cameras popup llash oofcourse.

EF and EF-S lenses … EF and EF-S lenses should work on all of Canon’s APS-C sized (cropped) bodies. However, EF-S lenses will not work on full frame bodies including film (such as 5D, 5DMKII and 1Ds) or APS-H camera bodies such as the 1D.
To answer your question EOS-1 lenses should work with the 450D.

Who idiot seriously uses auto and says that the pics are too bright. Switch to manual and select the shutter speed and aperture yourself.

depending on how … depending on how many shots you take neither….if you tsake as many as i do the shutter will be long gone by 5 years if not either are great i have a 400d for a small allways in my bag camera and it takes some really nice photos especially in the light i can only expect the 450 and 500 to be even better

This has got to be … This has got to be one of the worst cameras I ever used. don’t be fooled by the ads. This camera can’t meter bright outdoor scens right. highlites are always blow out washed out to bright call what you may. I always have to shoot -1/3 to -2/3 to get anything thats any good.
