Why won’t my camera turn on?

I have a Canon EOS XT 350D digital Rebel. Yesterday, I took the memory card out so I could upload the pictures onto my computer. I put it back into the camera and now it won’t turn on. I charged the battery overnight, so that’s not the problem. What do you think is wrong?

Maybe it’s the contact with the battery to the slot. Check if the battery is put in properly and check if the place where you put the battery in is loose. lastly the battery may be defective, you say you left it overnight and if you leave a battery overnight to charge it may break because its only supposed to be charged for 3 hours or so on my canon, it probably says that in your owners manual. You could buy a new battery and see if it works, just so you dont take it to repairs and get charged $100 for them telling you that you need a new battery. Hope this helped!

Upward Basketball: Eagles vs. Thunder – Canon 7D

Highlight of my son's last basketball game. He's a 1st grader at Whitt Elementary and joined Upward Basketball team at Wylie Church. The score ended up to be 48-10. The Eagles crushed the Thunder…LOL It was a fun game to watch. Shot 720p at 60fps for some slo-mo using a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Would you buy a…?

Canon Rebel XTi 400D SLR Camera Body w/ LENS, or a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT w/ lens, Strap, Battery Charger, Battery pack, Interface and Video Cables, Software CDs, plus extra lens and remote controller RC-1. Both have a warrantee. So which would you preferr? a upgraded camera, or an old camera with a lot of goodies. They are about the same price.

Well the XTi should come with all the things listed, less the extra lenses.

If you are new to DSLR’s the older camera will give you more bang for the buck.

Amateur photographers usually go for getting the most for their money … so do pros. It is only those with too much money that spend more than they need to for some prestigious reason of some sort.

Why it’s worth getting: SLR with an LCD screen, ability to change lenses, manual controls

Any ideas?

These are the top 3 we chose from Consumer Reports, but we wanted some honest opinions. This is a camera that would have to last us at least 5-10 years (and hopefully more), so we’re prepared to dish out the dough for the RIGHT camera.

If the price difference is not an issue, there is no comparison between the Rebel XT and the other cameras. I had not thought about this, but I’d say that it is a lot more likely to survive in use than the others, too. The lens is the same basic design as has been used forever, so that’s proven. The camera is simply a lot more durable than the delicate point and shoot cameras mentioned. The image quality will absolutely blow the others out of the water. You will have a much easier time utilizing depth of field effects (blurry background) with the Rebel.

I see you picked up the phrase, "SLR with an LCD screen." Just be sure that you realize that the LCD is for reviewing your shots after you’ve taken them and NOT for composing and shooting the way you can with the other two. That’s just the way it is with most DSLR’s. They’re like "real" cameras.

Now… I’d personally prefer to get into the Nikon family, but it was not on your list, so I will respect your research and I will not tell you to buy some camera that you didn’t mention just because I like it. If you can spend over $1,000, though, look into the Nikon D80. Oops. I did it, didn’t I? At least I answered your actual question first.
