How do I adjust the shutter speed on Canon EOS Rebel Camera?

I want to do a picture with a long exposure time, like 5 seconds or so. However, I can’t find out how to manually adjust the shutter speed on the digital camera.

You need to put you camera into one of the creative modes — "Tv" is the mode that controls the shutter speed. Try putting it in that and then seeing if you can adjust the speed with the little dial behind the shutter button on the top of the camera. If that doesn’t work then you probably need to put it in manual mode which is represented by the letter "M" on the dial at the top of the camera. Then see if you can adjust it there.

The manual that came with your camera can help a lot too, probably. So just look in there under the "Tv" or "Manual" modes to see if it gives you better instructions.

Any opinions of the Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera?

I am looking to buy the canon eos rebel t2i camera, anyone have past or current experiences with the camera?

I have the 7D which has the same chip and processing. Brilliant camera for the money.
The rebel loses a little speed and some other tweaks and features such as off camera flash, but most folk can live without these.
