Just bought a broken canon rebel xt for 75 dollars from a person on craigslist. I plan on taking it to the camera clinic in tulsa and getting it fixed. Also big news about getting accepted into NSU.

http://www.robnunnphoto.com/ After the AF got sticky on my 28-80 kit lens, I was in the market for a cheap, good focal length range lens for my 350d / Rebel XT.
I got this 35-105mm off eBay for about £35. Despite the reviews on the net, I’ve found it acceptably sharp when you use apertures a couple of stops up from wide-open, especially with a tripod.
Obviously it’s a very slow lens, so you’ll have to pump up the ISO when shooting hand-held in difficult lighting conditions, but if you’re using f/8 for maximum sharpness you’ll be on a tripod anyway.

Use this to understand how to connect the Pocket Wizard Plus II when the camera doesn’t have a PC Connector. All you need is a PWPII with two cables (the cables that comes with the PWPII), a hot shoe and a flash with a PC Connector. Connect the first cable to the PWPII Camera/Flash connector and the other part of the cable to the hot shoe (in the camera flash socket). Connect the second cable to the PWPII Flash connector and the other part of the cable to the flash. Your done! The flash work only in manual mode. Remember, if your hot shoe have a metal surface, use a piece of paper to avoid contact with the flash, otherwise, your flash doesn’t work.

Making of Canon L Series 500mm F4L IS USM. Part 2 of 3 in the production of expensive camera gear. L series is Canon’s Premium lens line featuring fluorite lenses. IS refers to Image Stabilzation build into the lens, and USM refers to Ultrasonic Motor drive that makes focusing faster than older systems. Currently I’m using a Rebel XT, although I’m thinking of upgrading to an XTi or 5DMk2. This 500 with the New 5D would be a sweet combination.
