Just bought a broken canon rebel xt for 75 dollars from a person on craigslist. I plan on taking it to the camera clinic in tulsa and getting it fixed. Also big news about getting accepted into NSU.

Developed to maximize performance between capturing and recording stages of digital photography, Canons DIGIC 4 chips use advanced signal processing technologies to dramatically enhance image quality and deliver a more intuitive, responsive camera. The DIGIC 4 Image Processors work in concert with Canons CMOS sensors to achieve even higher levels of performance. Signal processing algorithms work with the multi-channel signal from the sensor and the high-speed DDR-SDRAM buffer to deliver significantly improved camera response. Power consumption has been further reduced for even longer battery life. Color reproduction, noise reduction in low light situations and reproduction of fine detail have also been significantly improved. Making of Canon L Series 500mm F4L IS USM. Part 2 of 3 in the production of expensive camera gear. L series is Canon’s Premium lens line featuring fluorite lenses. IS refers to Image Stabilzation build into the lens, and USM refers to Ultrasonic Motor drive that makes focusing faster than older systems. Currently I’m using a Rebel XT, although I’m thinking of upgrading to an XTi or 5DMk2. This 500 with the New 5D would be a sweet combination.

Canon EOS – 1000D 450D 500D Live View Shooting

Take advantage of the big, bright 2.5-inch LCD monitor to compose photos with Live View shooting. This convenient alternative to the viewfinder is almost like using a compact digital camera. It is particularly suited for low- and high-angle shots or when using a tripod. Live View shooting is also great for verifying exposure and depth of field, giving you the opportunity to confirm both on the monitor before taking the picture. For compositions requiring close inspection, you can zoom 5x or 10x to check focus and other critical details.
Two autofocus modes are available for Live View shooting. In rapidly changing environments, a quick autofocus mode lets you capture all the action with only a brief blackout between shots by accelerating autofocus response (Quick mode). Another easily selected mode allows uninterrupted viewing (Live mode) while shooting.
